And you know that this is all just for people who want to impress others, not who really care about cooking. An efficient layout is so important. I love my kitchen now, and it's the best one I've had so far; a lot more counter space, but there are a few changes I would make. The biggest one is that there is nothing to the right of the stove. SERIOUSLY. Where are you supposed to put the spoon or spatula that is most likely in your right hand? What about pot handles sticking over the edge, quite easily knocked on the way into the pantry? It makes me nervous to have kids around. Also there are no upper cabinets, which preserves an open feeling but means that I have to use a lot of the pantry space for dishes, glasses and mugs. One of these days I want to hang up a shelf or two in there. Hmm...this sounds like a potential post for my new blog (I have a new blog, by the way! Do you like it?) So what kind of kitchen did you end up with? I like the first and third pictures the best as far as cooking in. Ugh.
